Patriot Torqx 128GB MLC SSD Review
ATTO v2.34 & Everest Disk Bench
ATTO is one of the oldest hard drive benchmarks that is still used today. ATTO measures transfers across a specific volume length. It measures raw transfer rates for both reads and writes and places the data into graphs that you can easily interpret. The test was run with the default runs of 0.5kb through 8192kb transfer sizes with the total length being 256mb.
Benchmark Results: The Patriot Torqx 128GB drive performed nearly dead on the 260MB/s read rating for the drive and bested the 180MB/s write rating by roughly 7%. A lot of people feel this is one of the better benchmarks for SSD’s and if so, it shows the Torqx in a very good light.
4MB Files Test Comparison Chart – Overlapped I/O: The Patriot Torqx drive bested all other drives in the comparison for reads and placed near the top in writes as well.
EVEREST is an industry leading system diagnostics and benchmarking solution for enthusiasts PC users. During system optimizations and tweaking, it provides essential system and overclock information, advanced hardware monitoring and diagnostics capabilities to check the effects of the applied settings.
Benchmark Results: Linear read results were right on par with what we have seen thus far with the Patriot Torqx SSD. We normally don’t use this tool for storage benchmarks so we don’t have a comparison chart but since I had the software installed, I thought I would give it a run and report the results.
