Overwatch League Fans Can Buy Skins Supporting Their Favorite Team
The Overwatch League preseason festivities are set to kick off on December 6 and fans who are really into the game and the league play will be able to buy skins to support their team. Blizzard announced the Overwatch League team skins recently and they will be available for all 12 teams participating in the league.
Each of the skins for the teams will have unique colors and league commissioner Nate Nanzer has said that the skins will be available for fans to purchase next year. Nanzer said in a video, “Just like with traditional sports jerseys, purchasing Overwatch League skins will provide monetary support for teams in the league, and they’re also a great way to show off your team pride in the game.”
The only caveat to the league skins is that they won’t be purchasable in the same way as other skins. To buy the league skins you will need Overwatch League tokens. These tokens cant be used to buy loot boxes.
All you need to do for these tokens is to log on to the game in the first month of the Overwatch League’s launch to get enough free tokens to buy one team skin. How you get more tokens after that isn’t known at this point. The actual League kicks off January 10, 2018.
