Ether Mining with Claymore’s Dual Ethereum GPU Miner v10.2

Tons of people are getting in on the Cyrptocurrency boom right now, so we took a quick look at Ethereum mining performance on the NVIDIA Titan Xp in the event that some one with deep pockets wants to mine on them.

We used up Claymore’s Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v10.2 and did some quick single coin testing on DAG epoch #155 (2.21GB) with GeForce 388.31 drivers. The NVIDIA Titan Xp was averaging around 37.2 MH/s straight out of the box and the system was pulling about 389 Watts.

We used EVGA PrecisionX overclocking utility and overclocked the cards memory by +700 MHz and lowered the power target to 72% to improve the cards efficiency. These changes got the hashrate performance up to 41.2 MH/s and dropped the power down to 342 Watts. This is not an ideal card for mining due to its high cost and power usage, but getting over 40 MH/s from a single GPU is always fun and you never know what price Ethereum or other alt coins will be down the road.

Let’s wrap this review up!
