Although Nvidia plans to launch its 40nm Fermi-GF100 graphics chip in March 2010, mass shipments are unlikely to start until April, the sources noted. Nvidia responded saying its launch schedule remains unchanged. On the other hand, AMD has already launched its DirectX 11-supporting 40nm ATI Radeon HD 5970, 5870, 5850 and 5750 GPUs and will launch HD 5670, 5570 and 5450 shortly. The company recently claimed to have shipped a total of two million HD 5800-series GPUs.
