NVIDIA Introduces Big Format Gaming Displays or BFGDs
NVIDIA has just introduced big format gaming displays, or BFGDs that integrate a high-end 65-inch, 4K 120Hz HDR display with NVIDIA G-SYNC technology and a built-in NVIDIA SHIELD. NVIDIA created BFGDs with the help of Acer, ASUS and HP, so expect to see products from them first.
Despite having a 65-inch 4K 120Hz HDR panel, NVIDIA says that gamers will be able to enjoy a buttery-smooth gaming experience thanks to G-SYNC HDR Variable Refresh Rate technology that synchronizes the displays 120Hz refresh rate to that of the game. Each panel will have a full direct-array backlight with at least 1,000-nit peak luminance and support for the DCI-P3 color gamut.
General availability is expected this summer with pricing and further specifications to be announced at that time. Here are some renderings of what the ASUS and Acer BFGDs will look like.
