NVIDIA GeForce Partner Program Could Impact Consumer Choice
Kyle Bennett has stirred the pot a bit over at HardOCP by posting a story with some concerns over the NVIDIA GeForce Partner Program (GPP) and what it could do to the gaming community. Kyle did some digging into the new program after being told about it by AMD and came to the conclusion that it is going to greatly, and negatively, impact consumer choice in the AIB and OEM computer market. That conclusion was come to after contacting seven companies about the NVIDIA GPP where some were able to speak off the record and none of the seven would speak on the record.
NVIDIA has yet to respond to HardOCP’s request for more information on February 22nd, 2018. It is not known what companies have signed NVIDIA GPP contracts and we weren’t even aware of the program before the NVIDIA blog post by Mr. Teeple on March 1st, 2018. Hopefully we will learn more from NVIDIA in the coming days as Mr. Bennett’s concerns are spreading around the web and folks are wanting answers.
