NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT Video Card Preview
Performance Benchmarks
The chart above shows the latest games running smoothly at 2560 x 1600 on the GeForce 8800 GT. For gamers with 1600 x 1200 or 1900 x 1200 monitors, this will allow them to play with antialiasing enabled at the native monitor resolution. Below is a chart with more games on it, if you would like to see how the GeForce 8800 GT does in both Windows XP and Vista Enterprise.
These numbers look good, but what about against the ATI Radeon HD 2900 XT?
According to NVIDIA, the GeForce 8800 GT runs 20-50% faster than the competitors $399 product, despite costing only half as much. In the latest DirectX 10 titles, the margin climbs even higher as you can see above.
Well that is it for our preview of the GeForce 8800 GT. We hope in the weeks ahead that we can get our hands on a retail card to bring you a real review with our own numbers!
