NV40/45 WDM video acceleration still broken

“ AS WE EXPECTED and announced Nvidia released its Pure Video marchitecture driver together with its Turbo cache marchitecture. Pure Video was a long awaited marchitecture as it finally managed to put video part of some Nvidia Geforce 6 chips to good use.

Nvidia proved to the world that it can make a driver, six months after the chip launch but still can who is able to do video encoding in hardware.

It will work on Geforce 6600 and its variations and partially on 6800 cards. Geforce 6600 can do hardware WDM encoding and DVD encoding and with new driver it dramatically lowers the CPU consumption.”
