Novero Shows $180,000 Bluetooth Headset at Pepcom

By

Pepcoms annual holiday preview media event, showcasing the consumer
electronics and services that will be the hottest sellers of the season took place last night in New York City. We weren’t able to make it to the show this year since we were just getting back from the Intel Developer Forum that ended yesterday, but there was some news from the show that you can’t miss. Novero was showing off a $180,000 Bluetooth headset that was basically a massive looking pearl necklace with a rather large and gaudy pendant. In case you were wondering Novero is owned by Razvan Olosu, the former head of Nokias Enhancements unit, and Equity Partners GmbH, a German private equity firm. The Novero Victoria Premiere, shown here, is a Bluetooth headset that costs $180,000. It is only made to order, but we bet the line is short.

Novero Victoria Premiere Bluetooth Headser

What’s the best Bluetooth headset to go with your $300,000 cell phone? Well, obviously, it’s Novero’s $180,000 Victoria Premiere Edition, which we first saw a few months ago but got more details on at the Pepcom press event in Manhattan Wednesday night. The Victoria Premiere Edition isn’t a proof of concept, but you’re not going to find it in stores. Each one is custom made. Like the rest of Novero’s Victoria range, the headset is in the form of a necklace. You detach part of the pendant to stick in your ear when you need to make a call. While the demo Premiere Edition I saw was made of pearls with a diamond inlay, customers can request that their own jewels be embedded in the headset
