Notebook Makers Say $299 Notebook Coming This Year

Looking for a notebook but not wanting to spend a ton of money? You will have to wait till the end of the year to get one, but $299 are coming. Don’t expect to play games on them though.
Taiwan notebook makers indicated that leading CPU suppliers are now assessing the production of a US$299 notebook and that they expect the low-priced notebook may be available in the second half of this year at the earliest.
