Nintendo Switch/Switch Lite has Sold 41.67 Million Units

The Nintendo Switch console is doing very well in the sales department. As of September 30th, 2019, the Switch gamily of systems, which includes the original Switch and the Switch Lite, have sold 41.67 million units globally. The news came from the Nintendo earnings report that was published this week.

The last time we heard about sales for the Switch was in June, and at that time, the console had sold 36.87 million units. The report is also the first glimpse into sales for the Switch Lite reports NintendoLife.

The Lite console had been on the market only ten days before the sales numbers were released and had already sold 1.95 million units. As it stands now The Switch family has outsold the Nintendo 64, GameCube, and Wii U.

The SNES is right above the Switch, with the NES in second, and the Wii the top-selling Nintendo console with more than twice the number of sales the Switch has currently.
