Nintendo and Netflix Still Exploring the Opportunity

Nintendo Switch fans who really want to be able to watch Netflix content on the console still have a chance. Netflix reps said that it was “still exploring the opportunity with Nintendo, but don’t have definitive plans to share at this time” reports Business Insider.

The new uproar over Netflix on the Switch started when someone asked the Netflix CS account on Twitter when it might happen. The person running the account answered basically saying that there were no plans for Netflix on the Switch. That tweet was later deleted.

Nintendo and Hulu have a deal in place that sees Hulu content coming to the Switch. It’s unclear why there is a delay or a question of the service coming to the console.

With the portable nature of the Switch, putting Netflix on it would be a wonderful thing. We hope it will happen, but it’s still up in the air.
