Newegg Lists Nvidia GeForce GTX 680 Video Cards

By

Newegg begins listing images, specs and pricing for Nvidia GTX 680s here. Having an official and trustworthy site to view details surrounding these GPUs should help buyers make a quicker, more informed decision on whether or not to upgrade. Many cards appear to be in stock right now, but it is doubtful that will last very long. Happy shopping

Galaxy GTX 680

Update: 3/21/2012 7:44PM EST – Seems Newegg has just pulled them all down from their site, however, you may continue checking back regularly by clicking the link above. For those who missed this brief burst of excitement, it did appear the SRP of $499.99 is true, though some versions were as high as $534.99. This listing included cards from Asus, Galaxy (pictured), Zotac, EVGA, Gigabyte, PNY and MSI. The core clock of all cards was stated as being 1006 MHz/2012 MHz Shader as expected and all contained 1536 cores. Also confirmed was 2GB of GDDR5 memory running at an effective clock speed of 6008 MHz.

A few people were quick enough to have actually made a purchase during the brief time they were available, including a customer who posted his receipt as proof. Order number and address removed to protect privacy. A screenshot of all listings is available here.

Update #2: 3/21/2012 9:30PM EST – Newegg has been sending GTX 680 announcement emails to some customers with coupon codes for free shipping. However, the links lead to a “product not found” page for the moment. Wires seem to be crossed somewhere as Newegg has breached the embargo date and time we were given by a wide margin.
