New Sony PlayStation 3 Firmware (v3.30) Update Now Available

The next system software update for the PlayStation 3 (PS3) system is now available for download. PS3 Firmware version 3.30 will add trophy sorting, and prepares the next-gen console for 3D stereoscopic gaming that is coming with Sonys new 3D Bravia TVs.
3.30 adds the long-awaited support for 3D gaming to the system, for those of you lucky enough to own a television from the future. (3D Blu-ray movie support will be added in a future update.) In addition, everyone will be able to enjoy an enhanced trophy collection, featuring new sorting methods, to help better organize your PS3 achievements. The update is mandatory, so you should download and install the update if you plan on using any PSN functionality.
