New iPad At Tesco For 49.99: Too Good To Be True

By

Apple fans in the market for the ‘new iPad’ due for release on March 16th couldn’t believe their eyes when they saw UK supermarket Tesco selling them for a mere 49.99. ‘Bargains’ like this show up every once in a while, with offers to good too be true. Unfortunately, this time was no exception and the exceptional price was simply an “IT error” on Tesco’s website. These actually retail at up to 659 for the 4G 64GB model, so Tesco stuck to its
terms and conditions and refused to let them go for this price, since the poor PR this generates doesn’t outweigh the loss in revenue.

“Your order is an offer to buy from us. Nothing that we do or say will amount to any acceptance of that offer until we actually despatch an item to you, at which point a contract will be made between us. At any point up until then we may decline to supply an item to you,” according to Tesco Direct’s web site.
