Netgear R7500: Speed Tests Far Room

We then moved our laptop and wireless bridge down stairs to the far corner of the house. The run was more than 40 feet across and through a carpeted floor. We again ran LAN Speed Test (LST) with data packet sizes of 1MB and 100MB. LST again gave us measurements of Average Read and Write speeds which are plotted below.

Benchmark Results: Looking at the total average speeds of the Netgear Nighthawk X4 R7500, we see once we connect to the router at the maximum test distance, we still get very robust speeds. The R7500s Average Read Speeds hovered just above 330 Mbps and we measured the Average Write Speeds clocked in at 350 Mbps. Relative to the rest of our router suite, the R7500 is certainly one of the fastest performers at distance. Those concerned about getting the most throughput at the greatest distance should really examine these results.

Benchmark Results: We get very similar test results for our larger data packet sizes. The Netgear Nighthawk X4 R7500s Average Read and Write speeds are a solid 316/335 Mbps. The R7500 has some of the fastest write speeds we have tested at this distance.
