Netflix To Stream Some First-Run Movies

One of the few complaints about Netflix is it’s lack of new release movies available via streaming media. Thankfully, they have made a move that will begin streaming new release content which will allow them to better compete with premium cable movie channels such as HBO and Showtime.

Netflix has signed a long-term agreement with Relativity Media to stream first-run films from the movie studio and financier, the companies said Tuesday.
The deal will allow Netflix subscribers to stream the movies online a few months after their DVD releases but during what is traditionally known as the “pay TV window.”
