MW3 Content Collection DLC for PC Finally Available May 8

Activision sure know how to make their PC gaming customers feel special. Neither the paid-for nor free forms of the Call of Duty Elite service have been made available to PC gamers, despite assurances. On top of that, non of the DLC available on other platforms has shown up, either.

Now, while Elite remains nowhere to be seen for PC gamers, DLC that was initially available to paying Xbox 360 Elite subscribers way back in January, is finally being made available to PC gamers. This will be contained in the Content Collection for PC, which will include extra content on top of this. How nice of them. This DLC will be released on May 8 and will include four multiplayer maps and two Spec Ops missions. The DLC probably won’t be free either, so it had better be good after this excessively long wait. The compiled “Content Collection” was made available for all Xbox 360 owners in March and PS3 owners in April.

PC gamers have long felt like second-class citizens in the Call of Duty ecosystem. However, Modern Warfare 3 has proven those fears wrong–they’re actually third class citizens.
