Mushkin To Release PCIe SSD – King Scorpion

Mushkin has announced they will be entering the PCIe SSD realm with the King Scorpion line of SSDs. With capacities ranging from 240GB to 1920GB, this SandForce SF-2281 based drive looks to break the SATA 6Gbps barrier by leveraging the PCIe X8 interface although read/write speeds have not yet been disclosed. Interestingly, the drives are marketed as modular for upgrade flexibility and configurable RAID modes of 0, 1, 5 and 10. No word on availability or pricing yet.
