Sims 2

The Sims was one of the most popular games ever made. In it, players micromanage the lives of a family of virtual people, or Sims, and influence their paths toward success or something akin to a nervous breakdown. Its open-ended blend of cartoonish behavior and everyday living is unique in an art form otherwise obsessed with carnage and sports. The Sims 2 is the sequel to the best selling PC game of all-time! The full-fledged sequel to the astoundingly popular Sims game features completely redesigned graphics, environments, character customization, extended life span, and more.

Low End:

While I don’t really see the Sims 2 being a “must have title” for systems such as these it’s interesting to see what this level of graphics power can do in the most popular game on the shelf. Interestingly enough the X1600 Pro CrossFire system can really spit out the frames in the Sims 2.

Mid End:

The 7950GX2 is slightly faster than the X1900 GT’s here. With each at 70fps there is no way that you could tell a difference between these two systems.

High End:

With the mid-end systems already chewing through the Sims we decided to do something a little different and go for maximum graphics quality. We turned on everything that we could within each driver control panel that would improve image quality and these are the results. Please note that these results are far from apples to apples and are simply to show you just how much power these two systems have. Even with literally everything cranked to the max neither of these two systems fall below 65fps.
