Micro-Star International (MSI) plans to launch its first 10-inch Wintel-based tablet PC (Winpad) in January-February 2011 before launching ARM-based models in April or May. This means that MSI should have these tablets on display at CES 2011 in Las Vegas. The ARM-based models, powered by a Nvidia Tegra 2 processor, will support Android 3.0. In addition to 10-inch Wintel models, MSI will also showcase other tablet PCs based on Intel’s Oak Trail platform at the upcoming CES trade fair, according to the company.

Due to increasing availability of tablet PCs from other vendors, MSI is expected to adopt a more aggressive pricing strategy to promote its tablet PCs, asserted industry watchers. During CES, MSI will also display Intel Huron River-based notebooks, including models with Nvidia GeForce GTX 460M or Radeon HD 6870 graphics processors. The company will also unveil a 15.6-inch model powered by AMD’s Fusion E-350 Zacate APU.
