MSI GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB and GeForce GTX 1050 2GB Video Card Review
Power Consumption
For testing power consumption, we took our test system and plugged it into a Kill-A-Watt power meter. For idle numbers, we allowed the system to idle on the desktop for 15 minutes and took the reading. For load numbers we ran Battlefield 4 at 3840×2160 and recorded the average idle reading and the peak gaming reading on the power meter.
Power Consumption Results: With the MSI GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB video card installed in the system we topped out at 221 Watts when running BF4 at 4K resolutions and used 95 W at idle. Not bad performance numbersand the MSI GeForce GTX 1050 used just 194 Watts at full load. The idle on the MSI GeForce GTX 1050 was slightly higher than the MSI GeForce GTX 1050 Ti, but you have to keep in mind that leakage is different on all GPUs and these two cards use different brands GDDR5 memory that may use different voltages.
