MSI Announces GT780DXR and GT683DXR Gaming Laptops
MSI today announced the GT780DXR and GT683DXR, two mobile gaming powerhouse laptops featuring the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570M graphics processing unit (GPU) and optional Blu-ray burner. These two gaming notebooks are part of MSIs renowned G Series family of gaming laptops. The company says that calling these notebooks “super fast” is an understatement as these 15 and 17 inch base models feature second generation Intel Core i7 processors, 12GB DDR3 memory and 1TB HDDs at 7200 RPM. In addition, they are equipped with backlit keyboards and Dynaudio Premium Sound Speakers with THX Surround Sound for a ground thumping realistic sound experience. The MSI GT683DXR is the 15.6″ model and it starts at $1699.99 goes up to $1849.99. The MSI GT780DXR is the 17.3″ model and it starts out at $1799.99 and goes up to $1999.99. MSI also includes a free SteelSeries Kinzu gaming mouse to go along with the notebook purchase.
Leading the fleet, the GT780DXR comes in a brushed aluminum chassis with 17.3-inches of Full HD Non Reflection display and SteelSeries programmable backlit keyboard. In addition to its high performance NVIDIA GeForce GPU and Intel Core i7 processor, the gaming workhorse is supported by 12 GB of DDR3 system memory and 1TB of hard disk with Raid 0 or no redundancy. For gamers craving even more dominance, the unit can be amped up with Blu-ray burner, 1.5TB of hard disk and 16GB of DDR3 memory.
