Motorola?s RAZR V3 Phone Prone to Defects

By

South Korean tech-savvy mobile users accuse Motorola?s super-slim phone RAZR, which hit the Korean market early last month, of having too many defects. When I first saw the phone at CES when it first came out I was shocked by the lack of features it offered over the the V600, which was the top of the line at the time. This phone was nearly $400 with a contract when it came out new and is now $49.99 with a contract less than a year later.

The most cited problem was the malfunctioning keypad, including side keys that are too sensitive, and a short battery life. Motorola Korea, a Korean affiliate of the world?s second-largest handset maker, acknowledged its responsibility for thousands of defective units. “In about 7,000 products made early last month, we found that the side keys were not assembled properly. The hitch seems to affect the whole keypad system,?? a Motorola Korea official said.
