Micro Center Offering 64GB SandForce SF-1200 SSD For $99.99
Micro Center just announced moments ago that they have immediate availability of their second generation Solid State Drive (SSD) featuring the SandForce SF-1200 Processor from SandForce. The Micro Center 64GB SSD SATA II 2.5″ G2 Series SSD with SandForce SF-1200 Series Controller features include read and write speeds over 250MB/sec, DuraWrite technology to extend the life of the drive, RAISE technology for RAID-like data security in a single drive environment, and ultra-low power mode to maximize battery life. The introductory price of $99.99 is very aggressive as other brands using this controller are much higher than this. The OCZ Vertex 2 60GB is currently $139.99 and the Corsair Force 60GB SSD is $129.99 for example. This makes the Micro Center drive about 23% less, but you might have to pay taxes if a store is in your state.
