Metal Gear Survive Pre-Orders Underway via Steam, Launches Today

Fans of the Metal Gear franchise have a new game that can now be pre-ordered via Steam. The game is called Metal Gear Survive and is based on the stealth action play that made the franchise so popular. The game is set to launch today with the countdown timer sitting at about eight hours from now as of writing.

The game brings with it new elements of exploration and survival. It is a spin-off from the main Metal Gear Solid V story that is set in a “strange alternate universe.” Players will create their own character and survive by scavenging resources, making weapons, and building a base camp.

The game has a co-op mode that allows a team of four players to infiltrate and defend areas from “hoards of creatures.” The game allows players to place fortifications and defensive weapons strategically to defend their base.

The game will cost $39.99 and is available with subtitles in other languages. Those who pre-order get exclusive DLC items to enhance the game.
