Metal Gear Survive Launch Date Announced

If you’re a fan of Metal Gear Solid, a big announcement landed today that will shed some light on what’s next for the franchise. The announcement was teased yesterday and said that the big reveal would come today. That tease came via Twitter and included the image you see here.

The tweet read simply, “Announcement coming tomorrow. Stay tuned. #MGSurvive.” The image with the tweet looks to be some sort of barren land impacted by an electricity generating tornado. The name certainly implies the game will have survival themes.

We were hoping for a trailer to give us a look at what the game will offer with the announcement, but all we got were some screenshots and a launch date. The launch will happen on February 20, 2018, in the US. Pre-orders are underway now.

Playstationlifstyle.net got to play the game back during E3 and says that the players have to defend themselves against a bunch of creatures that are zombie-like. That sounds like a lot of other games that are already out there, so hopefully, Metal Gear Survive will have something to set it apart.
