Maximo iM-490S iMetal Earphones Review
Introducing Maximos iM-490S Isolation Earphones
When we reviewed the V-Moda Vibe Red Roxx Earphones a few months back, we found this headset to be one of the best headsets we have seen at the Legit bunker. The sound and fit of V-Modas flagship headset was excellent, and for any audiophile who didnt mind an earbud-style headset and could appreciated crisp highs and thumping lows, they would absolutely love these earphones. The only problem with the set was that the list price of the earphones was $100. Many readers felt that there must be some alternative for these premium cans. Since this time, we have been testing many, many lower-priced earphones and earbuds behind the scenes, but the headsets we have seen were just not worthy of your money as a consumer (and our time as reviewers). Until now.
Maximo Products, who makes their home in Vancouver, Washington and has been developing and marketing consumer-electronic products and accessories for many years, has introduced the iM-490S isolation earphones. The earphones, released just in time for the holidays are supposed to rival what is offered by high end earphone manufacturers. On paper, the iM-490S competes with headsets like the V-Moda Vibe quite closely. At its core, the iM-490S has an all-metal light-weight body design with neodymium drivers for maximum frequency response. All of this for under $50!
Maximo designed the iMetal 490S earphones specifically to accompany SanDisks Sansa MP3 player, but of course anyone who wants an earbud for their MP3 player, computer or compatible phone can use this set. Lets take a quick look at what you get:
