Logitech G303 Daedalus Apex Gaming Mouse Review
Final Thoughts and Conclusion
Logitech has ascribed the G303 Daedalus Apex with some big qualities and despite its straightforward appearance, this mouse really does pack some high end gaming features. Three onboard stored profiles, 12,000 DPI optical sensor, and RGB lighting have been added to the same compact design of another Logitech Gaming mouse, the G302 Daedalus Prime.
The G303 Daedalus Apex feels small in the hand because the ergonomic design doesn’t make much contact with much of the palm. The mouse is also very lightweight, making it very nimble when manipulated by fingertips. The thumb wraps nicely around the side of the mouse and the thumb buttons are very accessible. Unfortunately those thumb buttons are one side leaving this mouse almost symmetrical and ambidextrous. Left-handed mouse users will have to make due with two fewer buttons. Despite the G302 being labeled a MOBA gaming mouse, both the G302 and G303 are suitable for all types of gaming. The G303 was very comfortable to use even during decently long gaming sessions, however like other fingertip mice in general, the G303’s lack of palm support can cause soreness over extended use or during particularly tense usage.
Wrapping it up, the Logitech G303 Daedalus Apex is the mouse for you if you want a comfortable fingertip gaming mouse with some nice high end features such as onboard profile storage and RGB lighting. It’s costly at $49.99 shipped when some of Logitech’s other less costly gaming mice have arguably more flex use. There’s the Logitech G300s ($29.99 shipped), an ambidextrous mouse for the palm grip and the Logitech G402 Hyperion Fury for the claw grip gamer at $39.98 shipped. We also can’t ignore the simpler $38.98 G302 Daedalus Prime that shortly preceded the G303. Dedicated fingertip gaming mice have gotten a bit stale though and competing offerings are typical relegated as budget gaming mice. The G303 Daedalus Apex is refreshing with its colorful style, luxury gaming features, and comfortable fingertip ergonomic design. The G303 easily gets our recommendation.
Legit Bottom Line: Logitech delivers a comfortable to use fingertip gaming mouse with some high-end features rarely seen in this class of mice normally targeted to budget users.
