Lichdom Battlemage Running AMD Eyefinity On Three 4K Ultra HD Displays

By

Lichdom: Battlemage is a first-person RPG that powered by CryEngine 3 that is all about spellcasting. The final version game title will be released on August 26th, 2014, but Lichdom: Battlemage is already available as Pre-Alpha 2 on Steam for $19.99. We ran across an interesting tweet by Jason Megit over at AMD that shows he is currently testing or playing Lichdom: Battlemage at Ultra HD resolutions for an upcoming AMD Radeon Graphics demo that he is putting together.

Lichdom Battlemage on Radeon 295X2

From what we can tell he is running the latest Alpha build of Lichdom: Battlemage on a desktop PC with a single AMD Radeon R9 295X2 graphics card and using three Samsung 28-inch U28D590D Ultra High Definition displays ( $699.99 shipped each) for an Eyefinity setup. Those 28-inch LED monitors each have a native resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels and in an AMD Eyefinity setup you’d end up with 11,520 x 2160 for the screen resolution before any bezel correction adjustments are made. It looks like AMD has Lichdom: Battlemage running at this resolution in the Alpha stages of the game title and that is a good sign. We tried running Titanfall on three 4K monitors back in March without much luck.
