Lian Li Creates PSU Cable Extensions With RGB Lighting – Strimer RGB
Most computer builds these day have some components that have RGB LED lighting, but Lian Li is showing off something at Computex 2018 that will help your RGB-lit enthusiast system reach the next level. Lian Li noticed that power supply cables are not RGB-lit, so why not come out with some cable extensions that have RGB lighting? Lian Li teamed up with famed overclocker DER8AUER of Germany and came up with the new Lian Li Strimer series of power cables that feature RGB LED lights!
“Traditional PSU cables are either dull or look messy and becomes a challenge to builders and gamers, becoming a task to manage and keep the cables tidy. Sleeved cables have become a trend and allowed a cleaner, more stylish solution into managing and presenting cables, coupled with cable combs, they made a good option until now. Lian Li is revolutionizing the cable management game with the Strimer cable LED.” – Lian Li
The Lian Li Strimer power supply extensions that are being shown off at Computex 2018 are 24-pin and 8-pin PCIe connectors and they are certainly over the top. The Lian Li Strimer Cable LED can be customized via your motherboard software with the RGB header pin. The Strimer has 10 built-in lighting options that can be selected with the built-in controls, so even those without new motherboards can use Lian Lis Strimer RGB cables.
No word on pricing just yet, but Lian Li plans on bringing these to market later this month. Those that are tired of unicorn vomit (RGB lighting) will be super excited that even more RGB products are coming to market. What PC hardware hasn’t had RGB added by this point? We’ve seen RGB lit keyboards, mice, headsets, cases, case fans, liquid coolers, power supplies, graphics cards, RAM, mouse pads, desktop speakers and even now smartphones.
Here is a video of them in action by Lian Li:
And you thought RGB has already peaked. The Strimer further steps up your game in the limelight by bringing jaw-dropping lightshow to your power supply cables. 'nuff said.
