LG UltraGear IPS Gaming Monitor Has 1ms Response time
LG has announced a new gaming monitor that has some impressive specifications at E3 2019. The monitor is called the LG UltraGear, and it is a G-Sync monitor with an IPS panel that promises a 1ms response time. The monitor also boasts a 144Hz refresh rate and can be overclocked to 175Hz.
LG offers the fancy monitor in 27-inch or 38-inch options. Both have the same 98% DCI-P3 wide color gamut. The 27-inch unit is the 27GL850 that is compatible with G-Sync and has a native resolution of 2560 x 1440 with a maximum brightness of 350 nits and 144Hz refresh rate.
It’s compatible with HDR10 content and has a pair of HDMI ports and a DisplayPort. Connectivity includes a single HDMI port and a DisplayPort on the back. The larger 38-inch unit has 3840 x 1600 resolution, 450 nits max brightness, and base refresh rate of 144Hz.
Its refresh rate can be overclocked to 175Hz, and it has a maximum brightness of 450 nits. This dispaly also has a single HDMI and DisplayPort. Pricing on both is unknown at this time, but the smaller version has pre-orders starting July 1, so we should know soon. No launch details are offered on the 38-inch unit reports WindowsCentral.
