HyperX sponsored teams will compete for the Season 3 Summoners Cup and $2 Million in winnings

Kingston Technology Company, Inc., the independent world leader in memory products, today announced HyperX Sponsored Teams Cloud 9 HyperX placed 1^st and Team Solomid placed 2nd at the League of Legends North American regional finals last weekend at PAX Prime 2013. Both teams are now qualified to compete for the Season 3 Summoners Cup and over $2 million in winnings starting at the Group Stages in Los Angeles, California on Sept 15^th,2013 and ultimately ending with the finals at the Staples Center on Oct 4^th, 2013.

The World Championship is a tournament that takes place at the end of the League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) season. Teams from around the world compete for a chance to win the Season 3 Summoner’s Cup which is the championship trophy awarded to the winning team of the tournament. The teams are also competing for $2 million in winnings. The regions that compete are North America, Europe, Korea, China, Southeast Asia and Russia/CIS (International Wildcard). This year marks the third season of the finals. The Group Stages will be held on September 15^th-17^th and 19^th-21^st and the Quarterfinals on September 23^rd-24^th at a Studio in Los Angeles, California. The Semifinals will be held at the Galen Center in Los Angeles, California on September 27^th-28^th and the Finals will be played on October 4^th, 2013 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. All games will be played in front of a live audience and streamed live online.
