CrystalDiskMark is a small HDD benchmark utility for your hard drive
that enables you to rapidly measure sequential and random read/write
speeds.

1000MB Files Test on Kingston DT Ultimate G2 32GB:
Benchmark Results: For testing we ran
CrystalDiskMark v3.0 with a file size of 1000MB on both the generation drives on the same USB 3.0 port and we found very big performance differences between the drives. The Kingston DataTraveler Ultimate 64GB Flash Drive was able to peak at 95 MB/s read and 69 MB/s write in the sequential file test. The newer Kingston DataTraveler Ultimate G2 32GB Flash Drive was able to reach up to 129 MB/s read and 82 MB/s write. This is a very nice ~35% increase in sequential read performance and a ~19% improvement in write performance. In the 512K and 4K file size tests the Kingston DataTraveler Ultimate G2 showed improvements, while write performance was down. Since a USB Flash drive isn’t used as an Operating System (OS) drive these files sizes don’t play a major role in file transfers.
