It Took 24-Years for Final Doom II Secret to be Solved
One of the first video games on PC that I remember playing was Doom. I didnt spend as much time with Doom II, but that game is a classic. Players have been frustrated with the last of the ten secret areas in the Industrial Zone for years. The problem is that players always resorted to cheat codes to gain access.
A YouTuber called Zero Master has finally been able to finish the game without using cheats and John Romero has confirmed that the final secret of a decades-old game has been found. Romero also confirmed how players can access the secret area without cheating.
This area had a teleporter in it that did nothing when players stepped on it. The catch was that you couldnt step on the teleporter, you could only activate it if you were pushed onto it by an enemy. Zero Master allowed a Pain Elemental to do the pushing reports ScreenRant.
You can see the tweet from John Romero below and a video of the cheat being solved. It only took 24-years, it’s impressive that people still play this game after so many years.
CONGRATS, Zero Master! Finally, after 24 years! "To win the game you must get 100% on level 15 by John Romero." Great trick getting to that secret! https://t.co/Im9BSP5Eyh #doom
