Intel To Release Core i3 Ivy Bridge CPUs On June 24

Customers will be able to get their hands on the entry level versions of the third generation Ivy Bridge CPU much sooner than the August release that was expected. An official at Intel’s Taiwan branch has announced that the Core i3 CPUs will be released on June 24.

The official added that Intel will continue to focus on shifting 40% of notebooks to ultrabooks by the end of 2012. However, these efforts may be hampered somewhat by the current poor global economic conditions.

“The Intel 3rd-generation Core i3 processor will be available after June 24,” Intel’s Taiwan branch said in a statement.
