Intel Revises Ivy Bridge Launch-Schedule

By

An article posted by SweClockers is detailing the launch dates of Intel’s upcoming “Ivy Bridge” processors. The article sheds some light on what to expect for the new platforms release schedule. April 8th which was the original launch date for both CPUs and motherboards, will instead consist of just motherboard vendors releasing models based on the Z77, Z75, H77, and B75 chipsets. These motherboards will work with existing Sandy Bridge CPUs but Ivy Bridge itself wont be ready. April 29th will be the new launch date for the Intel Ivy Bridge processors, the NDA will lift and reviews will go live on this date. It is unknown if the processors will be available for purchase at that time, as there could be further delay till they are available in stores. In June, the Q77 and Q75 mobile chipsets will release, with Ivy Bridge dual core CPUs for notebooks and ultrabooks becoming available as well. Lets hope there are no further delays for Ivy Bridge in the coming months.
