Intel Pentium G850 Sandy Bridge 2.9GHz CPU Review

3DMark Vantage

3DMark Vantage is the new industry standard PC gaming performance
benchmark from Futuremark, newly designed for Windows Vista and
DirectX10. It includes two new graphics tests, two new CPU tests,
several new feature tests, and support for the latest hardware. 3DMark
Vantage is based on a completely new rendering engine, developed
specifically to take full advantage of DirectX10, the new graphics API
from Microsoft.

The Performance settings were used for testing, so a resolution of 1280×1024 was used.

Benchmark Results: The overall score and the GPU score of the Intel Pentium G620, Pentium G850 and Core i3-2120 were virtually identical since both use the same Intel HD Graphics 2000 technology. The CPU Score shows that the main difference between these two processors is mainly in the x86 CPU part of the processor. The Intel Pentium G850 was found to be about 7% faster than the Intel Pentium G620 in the CPU test.
