Intel Has Confirmed Delay Of Ivy Bridge Mobile Processors To ODMs

By

Intel has now confirmed a rumor we previously reported on, their Ivy Bridge mobile processors will see a delay. The next generation CPUs will see an eight to ten week delay, pushing back sales from April to June for notebooks and pre-built desktops. The reasons for the delay have changed, with Executive Vice-President of Intel and Chairman of Intel China Sean Maloney saying the change wasn’t because of a need for inventory adjustments but instead the 22nm manufacturing process itself.
