Intel ‘Elm Crest’ 510 Series SATA III 6Gbps SSDs Launching on March 1st

Our friends over at VR-Zone just sent over an e-mail letting us know that Intel plans on launching their new 510 series SSD codenamed Elm Crest on March 1st! This will be Intel’s first SATA III 6Gb/s SSD targeted at PC Enthusiasts, gamers and workstation users. The 2.5″ 9.5mm drive will be using 34nm MLC Flash and is rumored to be launch at two capacities: 120GB and 250GB. The 120GB version will cost about $280 while the 250GB version will cost about $580. One etailer in UK has even listed out the price of the 120GB version at 227 (~$366) and 250GB version at 475 (~$767).
