Intel recently announced a product change notification that shows the discontinuance of several rather popular processors that are now starting to show signs of age. The first two processors that are going to have production halted use the LGA1156 package and are the Intel Core i5-661 and Core i3-530. The other three desktop processors that have been ended are LGA775 processors called the Pentium Processor E5700 and both the Intel Celeron Processor E3500 and E3400. We reviewed the Intel Core i5-661 Clarkdale processor back in 2010 when it came out and it was a great chip for the time!
