Intel Core i9-9900K CPU Review – 9th Gen 8-Core, 16-Thread Benchmarks
Far Cry 5 Gaming Performance at 1080P, 1440P and 4K
Far Cry 5 is an action-adventure first-person shooter video game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and Ubisoft Toronto and published by parent company Ubisoft for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It is the eleventh installment and the fifth main title in the Far Cry series. It was released on March 27, 2018.
We will be using the built-in benchmark of Far Cry 5 to test performance on these desktop platforms to see which one games better.
We tested with the ‘Normal’ graphics quality preset with V-Sync disabled on both platforms.
Benchmark Results: Principled Technologies published benchmarks for Intel on 19 game titles on the 9900K weeks ago, so it is laughable that we are just including one result. The good news is that we tested our single result at 1080P, 1440P and 4K display resolutions. The good news for Intel is that the 9900K was the fastest processor at each resolution, so this really is the fastest processor for gaming. The Intel Core i9-9900K was 22% faster than the AMD Ryzen 7 2700X at 1080P, but at 4K it was just 7% faster. At $488 the 9900K sure the heck better be faster than the 2700X that is available for $300. It costs over 60% more and gives up to 22% better performance in this game title.
