Intel Adds 240GB Drive to Intel SSD 330 Series & Lowers SSD Prices

Intel is expanding the capacity range for its popular consumer solid-state drive (SSD), the Intel SSD 330 Series, with a new 240 gigabyte (GB) model. In addition, the company has lowered suggested reseller pricing on a number of Intel Solid-State Drives including the Intel SSD 520 Series, 330 Series and 320 Series product lines. In case you are wondering what the prices are for the 180GB, 120GB, and 60GB variants of the 330 Series we discovered they are down to $159.99, $99.99, and $69.99, respectively. When the Intel SSD 330 Series was first announced in April 2012 the suggested channel price of $89 for a 60GB drive, $149 for a 120GB drive and $234 for a 180GB drive. As you can see the price cuts range from $20 to 75, which are substantial. Pricing for the new 240GB drive has not been announced yet.
