HyperX Cloud Stinger Gaming Headset Review
Checking out the Kingston HyperX Cloud Stinger
The HyperX Cloud Stinger is a full sized headset (fully covers each ear) that delivers maximum comfort. The headset is constructed with a black durable plastic with a matte finish that helps prevent any noticeable fingerprints that are easily left on any glossy surface. The headband rests comfortably on top of the head with HyperX’s memory foam padding supported by a leatherette section. The padding around the ears also uses HyperX’s memory foam technology to further give players a comfortable experience. The headset gently clamps around the head and ears and with the addition of the memory foam padding this headset can go unnoticed for sometime while attention is focused primarily on a separate task (whether it be listening to music, watching videos, or playing games) which could explain the comfort provided by this affordable headset.
The headset is adjusted by a steel slider that extends to about 37mm on each side.
The microphone can easily be muted by simply pivoting it into the up position. This feature makes it easy to mute the microphone for those of us who have difficulty feeling around for the microphone mute button some headsets have. The microphone can not be removed.
To reactivate the microphone all one has to do is bring it back into the down position.
The photo underneath shows the matte black finish as well as the HyperX logo imprinted on the top of the headset.
