A Closer Look At The HyperX Cloud Revolver S Gaming Headset

I do have to say that the HyperX Cloud Revolver S Headset is a pretty cool looking headset. I also like the fact that it is not adorned with a bunch of RGB lighting and effects. Just a simple straight forward gaming headset. Below you get a good look at what comes inside the box. The headset, the USB sound card module, the microphone, as well as a normal 3.5 cable so you can plug this guy into your own sound card if you prefer.

I have to admit that having the ability to choose to use the USB HyperX Sound Module or my own sound card is a feature that other headset makers should take notice of. And in the case of the HyperX Cloud Revolver S Headset bot cables came in handy for different reasons I will go into a little later.

The HyperX Cloud Revolver S Headset is one of the comfortable headsets I have ever used. They are a bit on the heavy side but the self adjusting head strap has plenty of cushioning and it allows the HyperX Cloud Revolver S Headset to virtually just float on your head so you don’t really feel the brunt of the weight. The ear cups are my favorite to date, I have a giant head and giant ears so most ear cups just barely fit over my ears, The HyperX Cloud Revolver S Headset has earcups that are like the size of a luxury penthouse apartment. There was plenty of room for my ears.

The alloy frame is sturdy and durable enough that you can feel the quality in the build of the HyperX Cloud Revolver S Headset and you know that they will last you for years. I am pretty harsh on my gaming peripherals and the HyperX Cloud Revolver S Headset could surely withstand my abuse. As for comfort, these are a very comfortable headset. I used them in a 3 hour gaming session with my son and after about 10 minutes I couldn’t even tell I had them on.

The memory foam on the headband and in the ear cups definitely make for a comfortable headset. Although during that session my head did get a bit warm from time to time, but I have come to expect that from a closed back headphone. One feature that I wish would have been included was a set of cloth ear cups, because I can see the faux leather ear cups are going to cause a bit of sweating during the hotter months of the year.
