HyperX Becomes Official Gaming Headset Partner of the Philadelphia 76ers
HyperX today announced its first NBA team sponsorship, becoming the official headset partner of the Philadelphia 76ers. During the 2017-2018 NBA season, HyperX will participate with the 76ers in a range of in-game activation elements, including courtside and in-arena LED ring signage and branding, exposure on scoreboard, concourse activations and HyperX giveaway nights. Additionally, the Philadelphia 76ers will compete in the forthcoming NBA 2K League, the NBAs first esports league. HyperX sees that in-arena gaming entertainment will grow in 2018.
HyperX also has a sponsorship deal with Team Dignitas, which just was acquired by Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment in 2016. That venture also just happens to own the Philadelphia 76ers, New Jersey Devils of the NHL and the Prudential Center performance venue.Team Dignitas players will utilize HyperXs full line of gaming products including headsets, keyboards, mice and mousepads while practicing and competing in tournaments around the world.
As part of the deal with HyperX and Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment both the 76ers and Team Dignitas will create co-branded video content, including crossover team activities and featured video vignettes, along with banner advertisements on the Philadelphia 76ers and Team Dignitas websites. The Philadelphia 76ers is the first professional NBA team to partner with HyperX.
Financial terms of the deals were not disclosed.
