HTC & Microsoft Unveil Stunning Signature Windows Phone 8X and 8S Smartphones

By

HTC and Microsoft today unveiled the first signature Windows Phones, the Windows Phone 8X and 8S by HTC. The smartphones feature the new Windows Phone 8 operating system from Microsoft and boast iconic design, studio-quality sound with Beats Audio and great camera capabilities.

There are quite a few differences between the 8X & 8S models, too. The 8X features a 1.5GHz Qualcomm S4 CPU, the 8S 1GHz; the 8X has a bigger 4.3″ HD 720p Screen versus 4.0″ WVGA 800×480 and hence bigger overall dimensions; a digital compass; NFC (Near Field Communication); 8MP camera with 1080p recording versus 5MP camera with 720p recording; 2.1MP front camera while the 8S doesn’t have a front camera; 1800mAh battery versus 1700mAh battery. Note that the batteries in both phones will probably last about the same time though, because the 8X model uses a bit more power for the CPU and other features like the larger screen. Full details and specifications for both phones are available at the link below. The video below explains the iconic design philosophy that went into making the phones.
