HP Developing a Backpack PC for Virtual Reality
With virtual reality coming right around the corner it makes sense that companies are starting to push out products that make virtual reality – or VR – much more convenient and accessible. HPs new Omen Gaming Line, which includes gaming laptops and PCs, now provides those with a desire for a virtual world an experience that is nearly cable free. The days of tripping over or kicking the plug out from your virtual reality headset are now over. HP has a PC backpack in the works to help with all our VR needs including an i5 or i7 Intel Processor, up to 32GB of ram, as well as a graphics card (which has yet to be released).
Cooling fans within the unit will promote proper airflow to lower hardware temperatures and a waist belt attached to the backpack with batteries to power the CPU and graphics card. Since the backpack is still in design and not yet in full production. HP has not released the price.
In terms of PC gaming, HPs new Omen Notebook (starting at $1499.99 USD) provides users with the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M, 4th Generation Intel Core i7 Processor, 1080P touchscreen, and 8 or 16Gb DDR3.
