HP 7 Plus Android Tablet Is Just $99
Did you know that the HP 7 Plus tablet is only $99.99 plus shipping? As the name implies, the HP 7 Plus has a 7-inch screen with a resolution of 1024 x 600 (WVA IPS multitouch-enabled) and runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. The quad-core tablet powered by an Allwinner Technology A31 SoC that features four ARM Cortex A7 cores clocked at 1 GHz along with a Power VR SGX544MP2 GPU and 1GB of RAM. Theres 8GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot to expand the memory by an additional 32GB, 2 MP rear camera and a 0.3 MP front camera. The little tablet has a 2800 mAh battery that is good for roughly five hours of life. These aren’t crazy high-end specifications that you’d see on a flagship tablet, but they are fairly impressive on a tablet that is just a hundred bucks. The main competition for this tablet would have to be the Toshiba Excite Go, that is slightly more expensive at $109.99 and is powered by a quad-core Intel Atom Processor rather than the ARM Cortex processor. The Intel versus ARM battle is starting to heat up in the entry level tablet space.
The HP 7 Plus is apparently available now, but out of stock, for $99.99. HP is selling the HP 7 Plus online directly to U.S. customers and is hopping to make it big in tablets. The HP 7 Plus is priced to cheaply that if the Android tablet performs decently it should be a big hit! It people can get over the 1024 x 600 screen resolution, this tablet could go over well.
