Half-Life Alyx Teased by Valve
Valve has been annoyingly cheeky over the years with teases and taunts for fans of the beloved franchise Half-Life that put Valve on the map. Valve recently announced that a new Half-Life game is coming, and it’s called Half-Life Alyx.
Before your head explodes, the game probably isn’t what you were hoping for. If you wanted a game that more or less picked up where the original franchise left off and played like the traditional PC shooter, we all remember, you are out of luck.
Half-Life: Alyx is a VR game meant to work with PC VR systems like the Oculus Rift, and headsets from HTC reports ExtremeTech. Gamers who are anything like me have zero interest in VR, so this is a bit of a letdown, to be honest.
Were excited to unveil Half-Life: Alyx, our flagship VR game, this Thursday at 10am Pacific Time.
Cant wait to share it with all of you! pic.twitter.com/BupFCxSrTw

The game is reportedly a prequel to the original franchise, not a sequel. We will all have to keep lusting after Half-Life 3 and see if the sadists at Valve ever want to give gamers what we want.
